Land Acknowledgement
The land used by our community forest school is situated within the region mapped out in the Haldimand Treaty of 1784, a formally ratified agreement acknowledging six miles on either side of the Grand River as treaty territory belonging to Six Nations of the Grand River. This region is located within the traditional territories of the Neutral, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples.
